Wall
mounted fittings that bath the wall in a stream of accent light.
These lights direct and diffuse light in a variety of ways depending
on the wall finish. It's important to note that gloss finishes may
result in unsightly glare.
Useful for background, accent and information lighting, they include
conical spheres, traditional wall sconces, and finials complete
with lampshades. They can make a room look bigger by drawing the
eye to its edges or to create a general soft lighting effect.
Care should be taken in the positioning of wall lights in relation
to each other so as to create just the right effect. Because wall
lights are often chosen for their decorative merit rather than there
lighting capacity it would be a good idea to view the light switched
on in-store.
